It's hard to believe that the leaves are turning, the backpacks are in the middle of the front entry, and that I'm about to start school on monday.

But I am still scrapbooking, and having fun with doing it.

I wanna share with you the September Reveal for Scrapshotz. I was lucky to work with the Prima line, and let me tell you, it was so much fun!

This 7Gypsies tray was sitting in my scrapbooking room with his other 2 brothers waiting for some love. I feeel it was waiting for the prima line!!

Aug Reveal!!!

As you know I'm doing a stint as a guest designer at Scrap Shotz. I'm loving it, and sad that it's half way done!!!

For the month of Aug I was lucky to get a bag of goodies with the ECHO PARK collection- Sweet Summer, and let me tell you it is just yummy! I love it! It's bright and fun, and it brought me back to basics, to the simple lines and to the focus of photos and a bit away from the bells and whistles of our industry! I loved it!

The first two cards were fun to make, and the journal was one of my favorite projects.

The layouts were really fun to make, I am digging the pinwheels, and the scalloped edges.

One of my favorite accents was my "family tree"( by the way only my friend Jess got it, that I know of lol) By far my favorite LO was " my boys of.... summer" because they are who I scrap for and about. They are my inspiration and my reason for scrapping.

So enjoy! I sure did!

One of the fun things about Scrap Shotz is the tag game. Once people sign up to play the first person( Hostess) on the list sends a LO to the next person in a PM then that person creates a LO based on the PM. Once the person who is it finishes the LO she then in turn tags the next person on the list, while sending her LO to the Hostess as she has the job of creating a reveal! This goes on until the last person finishes her LO. Clear as mud?

Anywho, I enjoy this cool game as it gets my creative juices going!!!

This LO is what I came up with for the game, and it was fun to play!

Oh and I wanted to mention that the cool fan looking flowers I learnt to make from Leica Forrest's blog entry for scrapbooking adhesive by 3L

Petal Pushers

I loved the DT package I got for my first projects as a guest designer for Scrapshotz. I was lucky to get the petal pushers by Bo Bunny( I adore Bo Bunny). It was great to be girly, and use pink to my hearts content!!!
I had so much fun with this line, and I even used my sewing machine.

I used pictures of my recent trip to Vegas with my BFF Jocelyn. I did a lot paper distressing and ripping, and sewing.

Today Ethan graduated from grade 6. He is off to Jr High in the fall. I am so very proud of him, but at the same time very sad. My mommy heart is very sad that another one of my babies is growing up. I mean that in literal sense of the word. He is almost as tall as me( no great accomplishment as some may say tee hee). The farewell at the school was very nice, all the kids got a yearbook, a t-shirt, and a framed diploma, plus a Holy Bible. I will post pictures tomorrow!

In other news, I've been scrapping, and have great scrappy news. I have been asked to do a three month design team spot for Scrapshotz, only my most favorite online store! And I have a LO being published in the september issue of Canadian Scrapbooker magazine.

So even though summer is here I am going to be it doing what I love, spending time with my boys, and creating!!!

CONSTRUCTION!!!!
Last summer while traveling to BC, and driving around in the city, complaining about all the road work being done or not done. What I mean is every time we passed a work site there was always one or two guys working really hard, and three to five others having a "coffee/smoke break". I decided that instead of complaining and getting mad I was going to take a picture and post on my blog. I never got around to it last summer, so I will start it this summer.
So for my first entry

I can't believe I'm almost done my first year back at university. I have 2 finals left and one essay. It's crazy but the feeling of accomplishment is huge!!!!

As for scrapbooking, I haven't done much lately, I have a few ideas for a LO, and I might take a break from Sociology and maybe start it!

Before finals I did finish my scraproom, and I have added a slide show to my sidebar.

I'm looking forward to enjoying some time in there for creating, as it has been homework central in the last few months.
On NSD I will be going to the Scrapshotz crop.

And I am going to vegas!! My BFF Joce and I are going for a long weekend to Vegas, I can't wait! we're renting a car, and even though she is not a scrapper we're going to Scrappin Time that I visited the last time I went to Vegas. Plus we're going to this Salvadorean restaurant!!!

I'm at it again, back to the blog.
Happy easter, it seems that I only blog around the holidays but that will change!( I hope lol)
I've been busy, busy and busy with my first year back at university and I am having a blast. On the final stretch.
I am still having, making some time for scrapbooking,

Christmas Countdown

So The countdown is on, I feel crappy. Being at school is much more work that I remembered. This is the first year that my tree hasn't been up on or before dec. 1. I am currently taking a break from 3 essays, due the 7th and the 8th. I have a test on the 7th and then I will have finals. Thankfully I will be done on the 15.
Once I'm done, the fun will continue, with my online class, and preparing for a block week class early in Jan.
Christmas will be busy. I am also taking some shifts at Scrapbooker's, I miss that place. My co-workers, and the yummy product.
Anyways. The picture is of a muffin tin advent calendar I made for the kids, with Inspiration from Holly( my coworker at Scrapbookers Paradise!

Happy Turkey Day

Man oh man, I should be doing homework, but I am being lazy.
We had a great Thanksgiving feast with Family and friends yesterday.
So for all of you that didn't know I am now back in UNiversity, full time.
It has been an adjustment, it has been a while since my brain had to work this hard.
It has been fun, and I ma loving it.
Besides being a full time student, I am still a full time mom. The boys are coping well!
My husband is amazing, he supports my efforts and is doing a great job helping me out with everything, from tutoring me in SATS to taking more house hold chores so I can succeed in school!
Ethan just had his birthday, and Luke will be 6 on OCt 14.
Noah is doing much better with his reading, and Wesley is doing well in HS so far. We'll see how good come report card time.
The weather has not been kind to us!! it's freaking cold!
Well I guess that's it for now.
Next time I get bored while doing homework, I 'll come and update!

IT seems....

.....that due to facebook I have been neglecting this here blog!
Many things have happened in the last few months. The most exciting part is that I am going back to university. This will be a major change. A change that will affect not only myself, but my whole crew. I have not taken a university class in almost 10 years, and even then I was going part time. This september I will be full time. I will be taking four classes each term. I am scared, but as someone once told me " I won half the battle because I want to be there". My goal is to become a labour and delivery nurse.
It will be a long 4 years but I am ready for the challenge.
I am truly blessed to have a wonderful husband and kids that support my decision. They also are aware of the challenges ahead, and are in this with me 100%.
So this fall we will have a university student, a high school student, and three elementary school students in our house.
I am still at the scrapbook store, I will be on a teaching only basis. I will decide then if a part time job, a full time university career, and a family of 6 can survive and coexist. If it doesn't; it's with great sadness that the part time job will have to go.
So now back o school shopping a has a new meaning for me. I am now armed with a MacBook and a cool back pack. I am ready for this new chapter in my life.

OMG......prodigal blogger is back

I can not believe how long it has been since I had the mojo for blogging.
Many things have happened. But I will not bore you with the details.
The latest is that my oldest son just turned 15 years old. He is a handsome young man with a good heart and he is almost 6 feet tall.
I got a rebel, and I love it I took a photography class thru scrapshotz and I have learnt a lot!
Camp Cropping
~I'm going to camp cropping this year again. I am happy to say that I will be sitting with my friends from Scrapshotz
~ I have a lot for the donation box, the childrens hospital takes scrapbook donations from the campers at CC.
~I have yet to organize my tools and other supplies for my classes I am taking 6 of them and I'm pumped!!! I also get to be tent mom( TA in the class) should be fun.
Last year I went by myself, this year I'm going by myself again but I have tons of friends that will be there. so it should be fun and I'm really looking forward to it!

Almost

Summer is almost over, I'm not surprised, it sure went fast. Wesley will be done camp on the 15th and we're going to Vernon to pick him up.
We're also going to have a small family holiday, we'll visit Great grandpa and grandma in Abbotsford, we're going to the states for a day with my mom and dad that live in Surrey, and we're going to Penticton. I am looking forward o this small holiday, it will be a blast. Last summer unfortunately we were not able to take more than a long weekend because Dh had a busy summer at work.
A small to trip to Saskatoon for the long weekend will be a great way to finish the summer.
This September Wesley will be in grade 9, his last year of Jr High. Ethan will be in grade 5, Noah will be in grade 3, and my bay boy will be going into kinder garden.
I still have school supplies to buy. I told my self that I would do it before we went on holidays, but I never made it to walmart or staples yet....argh...oh well I guess I'll fight the crowds and wish that I can find everything.
On a scrappy note, I was able to take part in the scrapbook takeout online crop, and I had a blast, also I won a crop-a-die 2.
Oh and are you watching the olympics? I am , even though I enjoy the winter ones a lot more. the gymnastics and swimming are my favorite for the summer sports.
Our poor athletes, they have so many close finishes. frustrating, but I will not go into my personal feeling s about it. All i can say that I am proud of the Canadian men and women competing in the Olympics. Go team Canada

hmmm April was my last blog entry.
I just have been busy and lazy, however I don't think it was missed lol.
spring came and went, and we're half way thru summer.
Our summer has been a busy one
mom and day came for a quick visit
Wesley is in Vernon for a 6 week camp, at the cadet training center.
went to the stampede
my Van got keyed
My family came to visit and we had so much fun.( we missed Wesley though, it's not the same with out him)
the boys had a sports camp at my gym.
We made a quick trip to see Wesley in Vernon.
I got a wisdom tooth pulled and now I'm in pain, and the tylenol 3 makes me throw up.
this was our summer so far.
off to puke, again...yuck!

It's Amazing....

.....how a RAK( random act of kindness) can brighten one's day or week.
I receive a wonderful RAK from My friend Ann-Marie. She had told me that I had a little something coming my way. I expected a card but I was blown away when I got two packs of 12x12 pp ( Love Elssies Toby line) and some embellies.
IT brought tears to my eyes. Tears of happiness and love.
Specially since I had a trying week, and weekend, you see
.....it will take me days to explain, so in a nut shell
Almost 7 weeks ago we bought a 2007 dodge caravan I have been back to the dealer 8 times in less than 7 weeks. I keep on telling them what is wrong and they keep on ignoring me and checking "the possible cause"
I had it!!! argh, I yelled at my sales rep told him that I felt that the took my money and then I didn't matter at all after that, I told him I wanted a trade, and that It should make me HAPPY and It should NOT cost me a penny!!! He talked to his boss and agreed that a trade for what I want within reason( similar or slightly better) is the best solution to my problem
The weather sucks we got over 20 cm of snow about, but today its going to 0. I was having friend issues. I have been left out out of major happenings....I excepted that it was crossed wires. Then I try to help to lessen peoples loads, but all the help I have offered goes unnoticed or it just comes back to kick me in A$$ . Glad the issues are fixed and its all good now
I ordered a calendar kit...I was supposed to get it 3 weeks ago, the company I ordered it from allows people in the city to pick up the kit in the city to save deli every charges. There was a delay with Calendar it self( i will take pics when I finally get it). I was supposed to pick it on, p sat honed the lady's house she tell me that I can come ANY time sat. I phoned to see if I could come 10 am....she says no I'm in my PJ's and its in my truck( not sure when I'll make it to my garage she says), If you give me your address I "might" stop by and drop it off!!!!!!
I finally received the calendar on Saturday but it was past 4, I had re arranged my day to put together my Calendar. I did manage to finish my April one since I payed for it( I thought that I should get the kit at a discount since it was them and not me that was late getting the kit to me)
Ann Marie's RAK reminded me how lucky I am, how blessed I am and that one little gesture from a dear friend, can make a difference in my life, and make some other little or big problem seem insignificant when you feel love friendship and kindness.

Camp Croppin'

On Friday I went to Camp croppin'( this scrap conference thing that he LSS puts on every year)I went by myself. I was kind of scared. But I had a blast I got only 7 los done. I took a class by Stacy Julian I love her. I love her style and she is so nice IRL. She has four boys and she just recently adopted a baby girl. Her class was amazing. It was called scrapbook finish line. We made a 20 page 6x6 album in less that 2 hours, and used 38 pictures. I will definitely use this technique in the future. I hope I can take a class fro Stacy again.
I met so many people there. The ladies at my table were great. Joyce and Jodie, Pauline, Darlene, and Val. There were lots of people from Saskatoon. I saw my old boss from when I worked at Northern Reflections. I met Darcy a lady that lives in Airdrie and just recently moved from Saskatoon.
My biggest shocker was that I met Sandy Jen and Carolyn from Scrapshotz( check my links) an online forum that I used to visit...I was just lurking , and they encouraged me to go back. And I am so glad I did......I forgottten what a great place scrapshotz is! I am also going t a crop on NSD, and will get to meet many of the members from this forum.
So All I have to say is that I am so glad I went to Camp Croppin' my only complaint is that the spce for cropping was so very small.
And the hotel screwed up my reservations and some other people came into my room.
Yes the conference was Calgary but I stayed at the hotel so I can scrap more( even though I didn't do much lol.
Anywho, I had a lot of fun and met some great people and celebrity of the scrapbooking world!

Debit Fraud

So I went to develop some pictures for a weekend crop I am going to tomorrow.
I get to SuperStore. I try to pay with my debit card, and it would not approve the transaction. It would say~ card cancelled~. we tried this three times. It was frustrating and embarrassing people looking at you like you don't have the money....anyways. I called Neil and I was freaking out. He logged on the Internet banking site to make sure all our accounts were up to date and were not missing anything. I went to the ATM to see if that would work, and yes you guess it right IT didn't work. My frustration increased. Because I was on a tight schedule. SO lucky for me( the only lucky thing thru out this ordeal) the service desk was empty so I was able to get help right away. I was told I used my card at a place known for skimming( where they take all the info from your card to make fakes) I was livid. I asked if they would tell me where this was, and they said NO. They we not allowed to tell me since its only speculation. I was ready to scream. I wish they would tell where they think it is. Than I would never use it there. Anyways . I had to get a new card new pin, new everything really. I am so pleased with the bank for taking action to protect my interests, but not happy with the fact that I had to be confused and annoyed because I could not use my card, and didn't know why.
so be careful everyone when using your debit card.
But on the upside I went to Mikes and got a Cricut Cartridge for really cheap, and I got a rain check, cuz they were out of the one font I wanted. The cashier asked me if I knew how many I wanted to buy , I said 2 so now I hve a rain check for 2 more cartridges for cheap. So my mikes trip brightened my day.

March is always a busy time for us full of birthdays. With Easter being in March this year we were much busier than usual. On the 20 my Dh turned 33 years old. He doesn't look much older than 25( hate his genes LOL) but I sure love him. On the 21st we had a few friends over for munchies and drinkies and quelf( the greatest board game ever). It was fun. Thanks to all that came, and the wonderful gifts( even though not necessary)
On the 22 I turned 33, I feel no older than 25 LOL. For Neil's birthday gift I was able to get us tickets to the flames game. It was awesome. Full of fights and great plays. Jerome even got a hot trick, and Deon got a great goal!
On Easter Sunday I took the kids and drove to Saskatoon to visit friends and family. Hubby was very busy so he could not take time off. I visited with the girls, and spent time with Tina and Morgan. got to see my sister and her kids. Got To see Luis and Rio. I got to spend an evening with my sister( can not remember when it was the last time we ever did That)She got a new car 2009 Toyota Corolla. She was in an accident recently and need a new car. So now She has no excuse to come to visit LOL. I was sorry not to be able to see my cousin krish. But there is a good reason, she is expecting her first baby, and not feeling well( congrats to her and Jose)
We drove back to get ready for Wesley's birthday. I can not believe my boy is 14. It seems like just yesterday we brought him home from the hospital. Time flies. For his party he had a few friends over , he wanted pupusas for his birthday dinner. He had a wonderful time.
mind you 7 13/14 yr olds are quite loud hee hee.
march has come and gone, and as busy as it it was a great month.
Hard to believe 2008 is 1/4 gone.

GOING ON A RETREAT

So I'm going on a scrappy retreat this weekend. I leave tomorrow and come back on Sunday. I am going all on my own! I usually go with Jolene and or Trina. This time I am going by myself, I am actually driving to Pincher Creek( I have no idea how to get there) by myself. For those that don't know I hate driving, I do it because is a must but I hate it LOL. Also i am a little nervous cuz I only know the lady that puts the retreat together. I met Yvette at my boys new school and she is a SU rep. I am super excited about going away, but I feel weird that I will only know one person. Oh well I will either make new friends, or I will get a lot of scrapping done.
So I have to pack and I need to develop some pictures. I think I will try to finish the Mexico 07 trip and start on the Cuba 08 one.
I really wanna start on Cuba because I am trying to do 11.5x8 Martha Stewart album I bought at Micheal's. but I have to finish our family trip before I can start on the new one. So this weekend should totally help in that department!
any who I should get my butt of the computer and pack.
This am is the only free time I will have as I am running the book fair at he boys school. It has been a long week, and I am happy to say that it will be so very nice to be on my own for a little
while! I can't believe Neil agreed, my next goal is to get him to agree on an all inclusive with just my girlfriends LOL~ hey a girl can dream!

Cuba here we come!!! and HAPPY BIRTHDAY NOAH

My Valentines day gift from Neil..or I guess eachothers gift is a trip to Cuba. We are going from the 17th to the 25th, I'm so excited! the best part is Its just the two of us. We're also staying at the same resort( Blau Varadeo Hotel) that we stayed in 2006 with the boys.It will be interesting to be back there without them!
I am so excited to get out of this deepfreeze. My inlaws rock, and they love us enough to come stay with the munchkins for a week!!
I can't wait........
One more thing 7 years ago today Noah Nicholas joined us to make our lives full of laughter. I can't believe my baby boy is 7 years old. Noah is the clown of the family, and always makes us smile!
So may things are happening around us on Saturday Ethan became a yellow belt!!
Wesley stayed up from 5pm to 10 am at his cadet corp for a fundraiser, he fundraised $150, and Noah got his letter saying that he will be testing for his yellow belt at the begining of march. Luke had a sleep over at his friends house. I am so proud of my boys!!

Happy New year! I have not blogged in a very long time. Life has just been busy around here.
We had a great xmas, with family and friends, and we had a lovely trip to Saskatoon for new years where we spent some great time with my side of the family and we had a fancy new yeas eve at Samurai restaurant~ yummy food~.
January has been busy, we have all had our first cold of the winter I hate being sick. We have been busy getting back into the groove of things.
The biggest news is that is so very cold. the current temp is -31 and with the windchill is -42 degrees Celsius. The weather reports say that this cold front will last for about 5 days.....All I can say is burrrrrr its so cold. My friends Jolene and Trina just came back from Sunny Mexico....I feel for them. I wish i was in Mexico right now LOL
Even though is only January, we have been busy busy!!
Wesley went on a cadet camping trip this month. Ethan is preparing to test for orange belt in Karate next weekend. Noah is having a birthday party this Friday, I can't believe he is going to be 7. Luke he is doing great, he can spell his name, and he can spell OUT and IN. He is registered for Kinder garden this fall. I did a little joy dance , but I also had tears in my eyes. We also have a mardi gras dance at the St Luke, and on the same night there is a pop and tot night at Luke's preschool.
Neil is enjoying his job in a new group.
I am still trying to scrapbook as much as can Still volunteering at the boys school. My spa Lady membership expired, so I got new membership at the World Health Club, and got my self a personal trainer. My goal is to be able to run a 1/2 marathon in 2009. Justin my personal trainer is great, and he works me hard. My goal is to tone and lose some inches, if I can lose some weight than so be it. My goal is to work out 5 times a week, and so far so good.
January had been so mild till the last few days, and even though is cold life still goes on. I just hope February is not as cold, because we do know that it will be busy as it always is in a house with 4 boys on the go=0).

Count down to CHRISTMAS

22 days to go. Am I ready. NOPE. But there a few things that are making it easier to say I am close to ready.
The tree is up, it looks so pretty. I was trying to talk dh into getting a second tree but he didn't think two trees was a good idea! maybe next year. I told him my friend Shannon has three, but its still didn't work LOL.
The decorations in the house are done, although I might need a couple more, one can never have too many xmas decorations. The outside lights have to wait since it has been supe cold -35 at times with the winchill.
There are the things that we need to do and the many places we need to be at that still keep me going like the energizer bunny.
next weekend wil be a busy one, we have the children's xmas party from Dh's work. also We are having our annual xmas party the same day( since we will be out all he day with the kids the house will stay clean and tidy for the party). I think this is our 5th , last year we had a beach theme. So we decided to have a nother theme party( well mostly me) And we are having a SUPER HERO theme this year. I wish Shannon could come, she and her family love super heros. I hope everyone dresses up!! Iam going as super scrappy girl , and dh well he has a plan so he doesn't have to dress up LOL( Thanks to Marichu he will pull iy off).
The following weekend we will be going to the karate tournament, the boys and I will be going to a dinner theatre , and that same day we will be going the grown up xmas party, I have bought a new dress, and shoes( strapless and cocktail lenght so I can show off my tan) I am really looking forward to this party. It is always so nice, a big gourmet three course dinner with yummy wine, and a live band.
the following weekend mom and dad will be coming mom and I wil take the kids to story book theatres sound of music.
Shopping is...well I am almost done. hope to be by wednesday. than it will be wrapping.
Grocery shopping man I hate that chore on a regular day....but I hate it even more during the holiday season. Okay hate is maybe a strong word...but lets just say grocery shopping is one of my least favorite things to do. I need a turkey and some cranberries, and I need to order the party platters for the xmas party.
there a few other things going on during the week...I am sure that this month will fly and before I know it I will be planning Noah's birthday and valentines treats

I have to finish packing..I am about 85% packed....finished the last minute shopping this morning. So it sshould take no time today.
I need to be done today. Tomorrow I wanna do last minute cleaning before my inlaws come, and Saturday I have to go to the salon. And maybe I will take the munchkins to the Bee Movie.

So Halloween was lots of fun...I realized I did NOT take pictures of the kids in their costumes, however I managed to take a pic of all my 5 guys with my orange Halloween wig LOL. ( i will post those soon). We are in a new neighbourhood, and we went out trick-o-treating just before 6, as it turns out this neighbourhood considers that early so we came back home, and waited till after 6pm and then went. My oldest went with some kids from his school, and was dressed as Che Guevara. Oh yeah and he went to Halloween party at his friends house the weekend before Halloween and he also dressed as Che.
Neil and I decided to both take the boys out, so we left a bowl full of chip bags and off we went. Ethan was a king Noah a ninja, ad Luke was a lion....The ran so fast and and had a great time. By the time we came home, our bowl was still pretty full. We found out fro the neighbours that we only get about 20 kind come thru our crescent. I was very disappointed as this. I for sure thought we would have more. Oh well!!
It was a great evening, the boys had a wonderful time. Wesley came home with a pillow case full of candies...we have so much....
Sleeping beauty is finally over, and I had a great time and I doing theatre again( even if from behind the scenes) I met some wonderful people , that I hope to keep in touch with and maybe work with again. It was tiring, an my guys missed me . And I them
In other oh brother! news ,in less than 6 days we are heading to Mexico. This was supposed to be Neil's and my holiday away from the kids, but we found a super awesome deal and added them and his parents on. So we are now going on a family holiday instead. I am so excited about it. I think my dh was a little disappointed. tee hee. But is now as excited as the rest of us. I am counting the days till I'm sipping margaritas on the beach, or snorkeling with kids.
One last oh brother!My brother-in-law is putting his application in the for the Calgary police services. So if he is excepted My baby sis and her family will be moving here. So please say a prayer for them, that this happens. They need the change, and it would be nice to have my sister near by!

So I'm now officially the new scrapbooking instructor at the Micheal's near me. IT was totally unexpected, but it came at a great time. Not that I need a job per say, I am happy that I can stay at home to care for my family. However, I won't feel guilty about how much I spend on Scrapbooking supplies LOL. Because if you have ever scrapped or know some one who does, you know or may have an idea that this hobby is $$$$$. This job is only a few Mondays a month with the odd sat or Sunday for a demo. And I get a great discount too.
On a side job note, I will be helping my BFF Jolene Stage manage Beauty and the Beast a StoryBook Theatre Production. I went to my first rehearsal yesterday and I had a great time.
So I am going to be super busy, with the house, the new PT job, and the ASM gig not to mention the after school activities my kids are in, plus I have joined a few swaps! Yikes, I better get to those swaps.

Almost three weeks ago I got my nose pierced. I have wanted to get it done for about 10 years, I finally did. It like it it looks good. Things though are never easy for me, the piecer had to poke me twice. I didn't cry, it didn't hurt, it was annoying to to get it done twice. So everything seems to be going well, and I get a bump, so I looked on line how to deal with this small bump. So yesterday the bump started to get bigger, I keep treating the bump, and today I sneezed, I scratched my nose and the bloody screw fell out. ARGHHHHHHHHHH, so what do I do I clean it, and try to put it back in...twice I failed, so I just waited till the bleeding stopped and back to google I go. I found a piercing parlor near by. I called and they were very nice and told me to come right in.
When I got there they told me they would not charge me for putting the screw back in. So Wade from Tribal Expressions, put the screw back in, and he informs me the reason I have the bump is because my jewellery is too small( i had read on my google search that in fact one of the reasons for bumps is small jewellery.)So I did the reasonable thing and bought a new screw, with a diamond on it, just cuz I like bling LOL.
Anyways What do I wonder you may ask. I Wonder why I never do things the easy way!

Autumn leaves are falling

I just looked outside my window, and the leaves are falling its raining and its cold, I think I even see some hail. I knew that fall was near, with the kids going back to school, and all the extra curricular activities starting, and the temps dropping, the wind feels cooler. But seeing out the window an d feeling the chill n the house makes it feel all real.
Fall the beginning of school, at least for two out of the four. The school that my oldest was supposed to start on the 4Th won't open till the 10th due to a new air ventilation system that the school is getting. He is so very sad...not.
With the move in the spring the older boys had to start at new schools. Ethan and Noah were excited but scared , they were afraid that they would not make any friends. When I picked them up at school on Tuesday they were so happy and said that met new friends, and they loved their new school. Wes on the other had was not worried plus there a two people he knows that go to his new school, one that is moving from his old Jr High, the other went to his old elementary.
Luke is staying at his old preschool. I really tried to get him a school close to our new house but they were all full and a lot more expensive. It will be quite the drive, but I will manage. So here is to fall and the start of a new school year at a new school with ne friends and ne adventures.

going back home to see my sisters one of them lives in the east coast, well not quite in or by the coast by east enough LOL. I have not seen my baby sister in 4 years and counting!!
I am so very excited to see her and her little boy who was 6 months old when i last saw her and her family.
I can't believe it has been 4 years, but I guess with the wonders of technology we have kept in touch thru email, phone, Internet, facebook.
It will be a short weekend for me, but I will treasure every minute we spend together.
Between the three of us we have 8 children 6 boys and two girls. It will be fun to see the kids together, and I will make sure I take plenty of pictures , this weekend will deserve its own scrapbook.

Tomoroow is the last the of school for my guys!!! they are so excited about Summer holidays, I am to, but I know it will change after a complete week with the four of them at home. We are hoping to have a busy sumer full of activities, swimming, and hiking, and camping.
Wes is going to Cadet camp and he is so very excited about it. My dear sister is coming home for part of the summer I can't wait to see her it has been 3 years I think since I last saw her and her son.
We have a family reunion, we are truly looing forward to that.
I'm going to Mama Mia on Saturday.
Sammys birthday party on Canada Day( by the way happy birthday Sammy )
And we are having a house warmimg, so the start of our summer looks great!

We are finally moved in, we re not 100% but pretty much. There are a few things left at the other house, but will hopefully have it all moved by the end of next weekend.
So many things did't go as smoth as I would have liked, but hey nothing ever is. We're so lucky to have such great friends and family that helped us out!
I have my own scraproom, will post pics soon!! I hope.
it snowed today....the weather better warm up.I am so very tired of boxes and cleaning, but I'll survive!

Happy Mothers Day. I know many women that are excellent mothers great role models. I take pride and knowing you and learning from you.
I have a wonderful mom, and a wonderful mother in law. These two women are a source of inspiration to me.
Happy day to all the brand new moms out there too. My wish for you is that you have women in your life that are inspiration to you, and you learn from them and look up to them. Just like I do in my two moms, and many friends in Real life, and my online friends.
Being a mom is a blessing, and even though there are struggles, trails and tribulations. BEing the mother of my children is the best thing that I have ever done in my life.
One day I want people to say, She was a great mother over any other thing that I have or may accomplish over my life. I pray that I am a good mother, and that my children grow up to be great men!

Just when it seemed like there was no end in sight, now I can see the light at end of the end of the tunnel.
We get our new home on the 15, an we have renters for the old home. If you didn't know, We bought a hose and decided to not sell our current home, and rent it out.
I have started packing. My mom is coming to town tomorrow. She is awesome at packing and all the jazz so I am very happy that she is coming.
My In laws are coming for the long weekend to help with the move. We hired movers to move the big things, and we are going to do the smaller things. Oh and my scrap space .....well we are moving that ourselves. I insisted!!!
I will have to drive the boys to their respective schools since we promised they could finish the school year at the same school. What sucks about this that the transit workers might go on strike which means a lot more cars on the road and this will mean that it will be a much longer commute. But I am hoping and praying that this will not happen.
We bought some new furniture for the house and it will get delivered on the 16Th and on the 18Th. I am excited about this.
I haven't scrapped much in the last few months , I am feeling down about this, but have high hopes for scrapping after the move.
At Luke's preschool there will be a mothers day tea tomorrow, I am so looking forward to this. I am even going to dress up. I did this tea with two of my other boys, it was a great time. I loved it.
I still haven't done the 7 random pictures, I will some day!
Bu for now, back to the busy world of moving, and becoming a landlord.
Oh yeah, and this weekend we are going to the IMAX to see Spiderman 3

teenager in da house

Wesley my oldets DS had his 13th birthday yesterday. Man oh man it feels like just yesterday we were bringing him home from the hospital, and he puked in his car seat cuz he didn't like car rides LOL.
now he is 5 feet 8 inches, almost 5 inches taller than his mother( I'm 5 fT 3 1/2ish inches LOL), almost as tall as his father who is 6 ft.
and counting the days till he can get his learners permit( intheprovice ofAlberta you have to be 14) and he can learn to drive.
Turning 32 didn'tmean much to me I feel younger than 32 and age is just a #, but my baby becoming a teenager well that is a totally different story.
Oh well That is life. and he will still be my baby boy even whe he has babies of his own, oh and by the way he has been warned that he has to be about 30 by the time he can have babies of his own.
Special Shout out to Kim and Rob who on the 28th welcomed their baby boy into this world( he will be 13 in no time )

HE is 32 years young today. But he is home sick...Yes Sick. It all began last week, when I had to take Noah to the hospital because he couldn't stop coughing and was having a hard time breathing. Turns out he had the croup, and now our youngest is getting over it as well, but hubby has laryngitis....I feel a little under the weather but I am not sick yet knock on wood. Even with sick kids we still managed to get a storage room, to put some of our stuff away cuz we are almost ready to sell our house. We also got to see a prospective house. It was the right floor plan and the right amount of space...with a den/office for my scrapbooking/ school. But it was in the wrong spot. A corner lot on a main road, and the yard well too small. The price was right, actually less than our budget, we know why( location location location)So we now have n Idea what we want, and what we will get. So wish us luck!
Going back to birthday wishes....Poor hubby what a way to spend a birthday, never the less I made him a special lunch of baked french onion soup, and pizza buns. He liked it, I know odd combo, but he loves french onion soup, and pizza. For supper I a ordering his favorite Chinese Food.
It sure has been a very long time since I LAST BLOGGED.
Many things have happened since then, we ( when I say we I mean Dh) got a new laptop. and we put our pc in storage. I have inherited the older much louder laptop( I am not complaining), I moved( when I say I , you know I mean DH) my scrapspace to the basement( it was either the basement or the storage room, I chose the basement), bought a wardrobe and managed to put almost all my stuff in there. I ike it and it will work when we move, and I get my own scrapbooking room.
My friends came to visit from Saskatoon. Went to the keg for a steak dinner yum. Went to a pub night for a cadet fundraising.
Held my second bookfair at the boys school, it went great. Went to the optometrist to find out I have floaters( nothing to be worried about)I'm just getting older, and I have been under a bit of stress and I need to sleep more. Went to a crop, and even though I only went in the afternoon I made 16 pages.
The next few weeks will be busy times, with our birthdays( Dh , me and Ds # 1) and getting the house ready to sell. I have hired a cleaning lady to come clean my blinds, and windows, after that we will have the carpets cleaned, and hopefully on April 9 the house will be officially on sale. We are also making a trip to our hometown Saskatoon, First we were going to stay all week( Easter break) however we must be here to show the house since we are going to try to sell it on welist.com. The boys are not so happy about that decision, but can we do. Wait till I tell my family in Saskatoon, we are not staying the week.
Anyways..that seems to have brought me up to date.
I want to send a special shout out to my Friend Jolene, She was in a music competition, on her solo she got excellent, and in the production piece, well lets just say other competitors thought that they were professionals and they should not be allowed to compete. They won a $300 scholarship( never been done in a for an ensemble piece), and she had a birthday, plus she got a new car, a 2007 Tuscon( sweet ride named lotus blossom) So my Friend...I am proud of you...

Prayers needed

I was in my hometown of Saskatoon this past weekend.
I was there to be with My sister and her family. Specially my sweet niece Bianca.
Bianca could not see from one eye, and she has had two MRIs and she had a Lumbar Puncture. The doctors think that she may have MS. I was in shock when my Ds told me. So I went to Saskatoon to be with them. I didn't think that children could get MS.
Bianca is an exceptional child( young lady she is 13) We have learnt a lot from her this past few days. She is coping with this like a trooper. At 13 she has taught us all a powerful lesson.
I pray that His will is done. I hope for a miracle and that the doctors tell us she doesn't have MS. But if she does, than I pray that she may live a full life even though she will live with MS.
Faith is all we have these days. I believe in the power of prayer.
I'm still in awe. But our faith is holding us up.

So if you pray and have faith please say a pray for her.

I got an ipod video for my birthday form my super DH.( Yes my 32nd birthday is exactly a month a way from today) But DH bought me a slightly used ipod video. Someone from his work got it in Nov 06, but decided he needed the 80G one more than the 30. My friend Jolene( she rocks) is giving me her headphones( she can't wear ear buds, so she bought a different set for her ipod).That was the only thing dh informed me that didn't come with it, but i told him I had already thought to buy a new set as I don't care to put some else's ear wax in my ears yuck!! LOL Now all I want is a pink ipod skin! One more sleep till my retreat I better pack!!! That my dear friends sums up the happy part of today...oh and yeah and we are going to the boys' school Family Dance...it should be fun!!!!!!
the crappy part is "the painters are in"....I hate being girl for about 3-5 days a month!! Need I say more .

cleaning cleaning, shopping and more cleaning

Getting ready to sell a house is a lot of work. But Oh well it should be worth it at the end.
The basement is 95% finished. Dh did awesome finishing the trim on the doorways and window all by himself.
Now we need to get a few things changed and added to our house to make it look more pleasing to the eye of prospective buyers. Went Ikea over the weekend, and bought a few things..that trip was fun I * heart* Ikea. I get to go to a couple of decorating places today after the gym.An see what I can find
The Family day Long weekend was great I took the kids to two movies Arthur and the invisibles a, and Bridge to tarabithia( while Neil worked). Both great kids movies. Dh and i got to see Pans laberynth( great spanish movie with subtitles) . We went swimming( not as fun as Cuba, but fun) we took the kids to eat out three times over the weekend. We tried out Taco Del mar a new taco place intown. We took them to ikea $1 breakfast and after swimming we went to applebees for appetizers and drinks( i recommend this for anyone with kids looking fro a fun lunch) We order a platter( spinach dip, buffalo wings, quesadillas and cheese sticks) fries with gravy, nachos and ribs. We had an awesome time. eating and laughing,. The kids were starving and tired from swimming. We rented a Wii game, and its a lot of fun....we are thinking we might like to get that one. ( Shannon is a super hero one. I thought of you when we played it) It's called Marvel Ultimate Alliance...Super Fun!! ( pun intended) Jolene and Cory came over to play it...well lets just say my kids are way better at this game than we were LOL.
I cleaned my scrapspace for about 4 hrs( so Dh tells me) It looks cleaner, but the same LOL. I am hoping to get it organized enough that I don't have to put my stuff in storage while the house is up for sale. That would just be a tragedy. but If I must make the sacrifice of putting "some " of my supplies in storage I will since one of my " prerequisites " for our new house is a den/ office so i can have my own space. No boys allowed just me!!!! Also the cleaning is getting me organized for my scrapbooking retreat in Canmore( Shannon there are a few retreats around here so if you ever felt the need to come up north I am sure we can find one to go to, but we can always try to put one together if there was enough interest!!!!!!)
Anywho got to go to the gym haven't been there since Thurs.

Hope everyone is happy and loved today.
We are not big on Valentines around here, except for the treats and cards the kids take to school.
But Tonight Dh and I are taking the boys out for vietnamese for valentines. and on friday there is no BBall so We are having a date.
Dh's parents were here over the weekend. Mom and I had a great time shopping. Dad helpded Dh finish the basement. They did a great job. The only sucky thing was my van was parked outside all weekend and it was freaking cold and it snowed all weekend. Yes I know I am spoiled LOL!!!
I spent an hr sorting out my chipboard embellies. used up the last of my mikes money I got for xmas and bought a slab of chipboard ( 30 pages). It was fun!! =0)
I did it now cuz on the 23rd Jolene, Trina and I are going to Canmore for a weekend retreat. I am hooked on crops and retreats LOL!!!!! I hope taht I can scrap a bit. Since I have been on a weird sort of a funk when it comes to scrapbooking. but I am hoping to get out of it!!!!!
It's still pretty cold, but the Chinook is coming, they are saying + temps soon!!!Stopped by at the boys school for la tire sur la neige....yum!!!!! hot maple syrup poured over ice. This is done during Carnavale at the boys school( my boys go to french imerssion) Also DS # 2 was selected as the class duke, From all the dukes and duchesses there willbe a king and queen for Carnaivale.
Luke made a valentines day mail box at school it was full of valentines and Candies. They also had a party and there were cookies and other treats.
I also god blood work done, and teh lady that did it was so good there is no sign of it!! i sometime Bruise a lot!Don't be alarm is just riutine blood work.
anyways I have gone long enough!!! Going to try to scrap!!!!

I feel crappy, and hate it!! Oh well have to deal with that.

arizona trip report

For those of you wondering about my trip to Arizona. It was great. Very emotional seeing grandmother after almost 21 years. She is now blind but still full of spirit, and laughs! It was nice to see my Cousins' and their families. My cousins Army's 6 children are wonderful smart and sweet. My cousin Dan has a great wife Maria, and two cute kids 10 and 6. They were all very nice. Steve Armida's oldest took me to Garcia's a great Mexican restaurant. I was so full I thought I would cry LOL. I got to visit their church and was able to see all the work they do in their church community! Bequer took me out to lunch as well, We didn't have much time, but had a great visit with him Judah and Zabdy. My cousin Dan did a tour in Iraq and I got to see pictures of Iraq, and that broke my heart. Please pray hard for all those men and women, and children in the middle of that war. Also he had a BBQ in my honour and he went to a Salvadorean store and found chorizos( Salvadorean sausage) It was so very yummy. We had a great time. My cousin army also had a wonderful supper prepared for Sunday after Church.
The weather Oh my it was cold and rainy, well not so cold for me, but for them.
I am sorry to say I was not able to Meet Wendy..it's still breaking my heart. but I will because I will try to get down there again to visit the family.

I needed a new dress for church on Sunday I am not a dress kind of Gal, but my at my cousins church everyone wears dresses and I didn't want to stand out too much. I have been looking since the boxing sale week, and today I found one woohoo, and it was only $10 I was willing to spend 20 or 30. So I ended up buying a skirt for 10 and a wrap-around shirt for 10. so i spent 30 dollars and got three things. It was a very succesful shopping day I found three Wii controllers. For those of you that don't know we bought a wii for the "kids". anyways I will get to the wii later.
I need to finish packing because I have to go to a scrapbooking thing tomorrow night and my plane leaves at 8 am on friday ( i need to get to the airport by 6am) So i joinded a scrapbooking club ( CTMH) wish me luck there is only five peolpe so it will be a short club which is good i think.
I made itto the gym twice this week and so far so good. i am going one more time tomorrow morning. My goal is to go at leat three times so i guess so far so good! I did 45 mins on the tthreadmill and did 50 sit ups.
about the Wii well I am not sure who is more excited about the kids or us LOL. NEil ahs now decided to do the Wii experiment so wii'll see what happens =0)

THE weather has turned to crap....yep its cold again. I'm missing the sunny beaches of Cuba, and Mexico right about now!! Well at least we didn't get a blizzard like our friends to the north and the east Specially Saskatoon. My MIL told me that some people had to stay over night at a local walmart( Jolene thinks that is awesome!!)
The kids are back at school, and the week is almost over. So far so good. I joined SpaLady( a gym) just to try to tone a bit more and to keep the weight I lost off!! I am not a health weight freak by any chance. I am and was always happy with my body and myself. It is very nice though to look( almost) like I did before kids.
I am happy with me and how I look, and I think my Dh is also happy as well. I'm not will never be a gym fanatic. So if I start stop me. I live life to the fullest, and enjoy being active with my kids. But I won't let a gym rule my life.
Let see besides that I am starting to get excited about my Visit to Arizona Next week. If you didn't know my Grandma lives in town called Surprise, and I haven't seen her in a 20+ years. My hubby is the bomb, and told me to book a flight and go. Since is not to expensive, and westjet flies there, so of course AirCanada had to have a better seat sale, So I'm flying Aircanada. I am Arizona bound. Not do I only get to see my MamaMenche ( probably for the last time) but I get to see my Tio Chepe two of my cousins and their kids. My Cousin Armida and her Dh have 6 children 3 boys and 3 girls. I was a flower-girl at their wedding. Their oldest is 25 and their youngest 16 or 17 I think. My cousin Dan has 2 kids. So i can't wait to meet Dan's little ones. because I seem to be the last find things out in my dad's side of the family that I didn't even know that He was married till a few years back.
If all goes well I will also get to meet two more of my aboutscrapbooking.com forum friends. I really hope I do.
Basketball starts next week again. This time around I will get to go to the practices more often since Skating is finished. Our first game of the winter season is on the 19Th ( which I will miss) and we have a double header. So i will have to rely on Wesley and Jolene to help Neil out and put the little ones top bed.
I am also Excited cuz Ethan has decided to audition for the Musical Oliver. I hope he gets even just a small part. I think I might try to find a crop someplace so I can start scrapping 100 New Orleans pics and 300+ Cuba pics.
okay I think I have gone on enough. January is turning out to be a busy month and we are almost half way thru it.
I am sure though Feb will be equally as busy since life with my 5 guys always is.

Cuba was awesome. We had a great time. The flight there was a little long, but maybe because we were so excited to get to the beach! Varadero, Cuba is a beautiful place. Very clean, the drivers were not as crazy as Mexico. Our hotel was beautiful, the rooms wee big, and we had ocean view!. The food was not as good as Mexico( but we knew that before we got there) The drinks were Good!!!!!! The staff works very hard, and the grounds are immaculate. the entertainment team was awesome. the first three days were very windy but still very warm. the waves were big, but that didn't stop us from having a great time. It rained a couple of nights but not while we were swimming it was always early evening or night.
I had my hair braided at the beach, didn't have to comb my hair LOL. The sand was white and very cool. Once the wind died down we had the calmest ocean, plus it was so warm and shallow could walk very far out!
We built sand castles, and went on the pedal boats. Neil, Wesley and grandpa Neil snorkeled a lot. One day Mom dad and the girls went to Havana for the day. they had a great time but were back really late We were glad we didn't take the boys there. on the 22 we took the boys on a Catamaran tour we stopped to snorkel, than we stopped at a pen in the middle of the ocean were we got to swim with dolphins. That was a great experience, after the dolphins we went to cayo coco were we had a lobster lunch, and swam for a couple of hours very beautiful! after that back on the catamaran and we got to see the sunset it was beautiful. It was a great day. Latin people celebrate Noche Buena( Xmas eve) more so than Xmas day So all of the 24Th was full of great Xmas surprises at the resort. There was a circus acrobat show, the boys were given a Xmas present, the buffet had a gala dinner. With a string quartet playing while we ate. grandpa will faint if he hears Feliz Navidad again LOL
Every night Wesley stayed in the room with his brothers while we went to the show. We tried to take them but they were so tired by 9pm and the show started at 945. They di however have a mini disco every other day and they got to dance and play games Mayra was in charge of the kids club. We were able to take all the kids there a few times to have them out of the sun, and have a little time for ourselves.

We are so sad to be back in the cold. but looking forward to planning our next Xmas holiday for 2008. so let us know if you wanna come with us!

Man oh man !!! Dec has been a busy month so far and we are only half way thru. Lots of things have been happening. We went to the children's Xmas party the boys had a blast even Wes enjoyed it. and tonight we are going to the grown up one. am looking forward to it. I got a new dress and shoes!!
We are almost ready for our big trip we are 90% packed. Just last minute things!!!
I got a pedicure/ almost manicure today. My toes are red...going to get my finger nails done in a little while. I got to look purdy and gurly tonight, and have pretty toes for the beautiful beaches in cuba!
Had a wonderful Xmas party at our house last weekend, had lots of fun. Beach theme, and was happy almost everyone dressed up!
Tomorrow My friend Jo and I are taking Ethan and Noah to a christmas story at stage west dinner theatre. And sunday we are going to go see Charlotte's web( Even Wes wants to see it.
tomorrow my inlaws and Tina are coming. I hope they have a safe drive. and I want them to know we are so very lucky that they are coming with us. And we are going to have a blast!!!
I cut the boys hair, yep me, they don't look all that bad...all I can say is I will get better here is a picture to prove it. Oh yeah an we got a new camera!! very excited about that ( not as much as mt frien Jen H , but pretty excited all the same)

haven't been blogging for a while

It has been a while. I have been busy! from running the Bookfair at the boys school to getting flu shots, and getting food poisoning. Oh and getting ready for our Holiday to Cuba(only 10 days and a few more hrs).
Until we are at the resort it will be busy busy busy. So I am so looking forward to being on the beach drinking mojitos. But till then we have school activities music lessons basketball birthday parties, and Xmas parties. All this craziness will make the days go by really quickly.
This weekend we are going to Dh's works children's Xmas party. This is Wes' last year he will be too old for it next year. man it makes me sad!!! he won't miss it for the last few years he just goes for the food LOL!
We are also having our annual Xmas party. I'm so looking forward to catching up with old friends, and partaking in some yummy food and drinks.
Sunday there is nothing planned for that day yeah!!! however we have to pack~ yes for Cuba!
Any who I must go an get some supper going since we have two things on our calendar for tonight!

It's NOT a winter wonder land!! ...its cold!!!

Right now its -24 and its colder with the windchill, to make it better we have a snowfall warning. let me tell you, I am so ready to cry!!! This week I am so very busy. I run the book fair at the boys school. Ethan has a field trip to the Science Center and Luke has a field trip to the Library. I might not take him though cuz I need to be at the school for the book fair, and I don't like driving on a good day never mind in the middle of winter hell! Plus I need to go get a few pics printed for my xmas cards. Oh joy!!! Oh well they are saying -5( that's my kind of winter temperature) by thrs.
But on a happy Note I am going to Cuba in 21 days and a few hrs, and in January I'm going to Surprise, Arizona to See my Grandma whom I haven't seen in almost 20 years, Plus I might get to meet two of my scrapbooking forum friends. So there is warmth at the end of the freezer tunnel!!!!!

I went to scrapbook retreat, and I managed to make 56 pages!!! Impressive I think Ya!!! as Lukey would say!!! I have to take pictures and I have to put them in the albums, but i am feeling quite good about it!!! The weekend was great. met a few scrapers and got to spend a great weekend with one of my bestest friends in the whole wide world!! Jolene beat me though and made 57 pages a few trifold albums.
She totally rocked!!! specially when she made her first trifold album lets just say I didn't think he motor skills were up to par( thanks to the vino). She did awesome.
The boys survived without their mom. Dh did well all the kids were alive and healthy, and they were not starved!!! It was so much fun that I will be doing it again. I am also happy to say that I might not wait till next november There might be anotherone in the spring!!! woohoo!!! and I might even make it to one of the about retreats!
On a bitter/sweet note, My Niece Bianca's papers won't be back in time for her to come to Cuba with us=0( . She is taking it like a trooper!! but my friend Tina is coming with us!!! woohooo!! plus it didn't cost as much as we expected to change the reservation!!!

My mom called today to tell me my dad has kidney stones and will have surgery( he probably is in the OR as I type). Please keep him in your prayers, as well as my mom, she is wreck, you see my dad hardly ever gets sick, and mom depends on him so much, and right now she feels helpless, and so do I, I know this is a surgery that is done all the time, but I am not in the same city, and I wish I was there holding my mom's hand!
So prayers pretty please!!!!!

I went to the Remembrance Day Celebration at my Ds Jr High. HE wore his cadet uniform, and carried the flag( stupid me forgot the Camera!!) After that I went shopping by myself since Dh had the day off from work. I have to say that I made a dent in the Xmas shopping. I was so very happy that I was able to go on my own! A big Thanks to my Dh for giving me this time to myself. I am very lucky, cuz I also get to go to a Scrapbooking party tonight, and there is a girls night out tomorrow that He said if i wanted to go I could, and on Sunday I am volunteering at the Spanish Church in their kitchen. and Next week I am going to the retreat!!!
Oh yeah 38 days till Cuba!!!!!!!!

Xmas shopping

First of all
Happy belated birthday Dear Marichu!!
So my Xmas shopping is going so bad I am going to cry!!! The kids will only get a couple of stocking stuffers since we are going on holidays for Xmas. So you think this would make my shopping less stressful NOOOOO, I'm not having much luck at all. I did make some progress and bought one of the many gifts today. I won't say what or for who its for just in case she reading this!!
So lets hope I can finish soon, cuz my friend Jolene is going home at the end of the month and I want to send all the gifts that need to go Saskatoon!!!!

40 days till Cuba,

So this year we only had three out of the four boys go trick-o-treating. Wesley the oldest is in cadets on Tuesdays, and Halloween was on Tuesday this year. Ethan went as Darth Vader, Noah was a lion, and Luke was a chicken( a Jedi chicken).
DH had to drive son #1 to cadets so i went out with the kids and we had to turn the lights off =0( so missed about 45 minutes of handing out candies. The smaller boys were going so fast after they filled their pumpkins up they wanted to go home. Ethan went with a friend from school for another 30 minutes. She got here as we made it back so it was perfect timing. Now with not as many kids at our door We have tons of candies left. DH and DS#1 are not complaining.
The weather was a bit cold but the wind died down, so it made it better. Funny thing though, I remember trick-o-treating in Saskatoon in -40 weather when I was a kid, but now I was freaking out cuz it was -8. The kids complained they were hot, but is because they were running full strenght to the next house.
So now Halloween is done, the decorations are coming down. DH has Friday off so Xmas lights and outside decorations are going up.
Oh and did you know in 41 days we are going to be on the beach in Varadero!!!!

GOING TO CUBA

Well, we're booked!!!!! We were going to go to Mexico for a winter family holiday, but are going to Cuba instead! Man Are we all excited! There is 10 of us going Dh and I and our four boys, Dh's parents, our niece Bianca, and my best pal Jolene.
We got a great deal, at the Varadero Blau Hotel. Trip advisor says that its the #2 hotel in Varadero. Actually in all of Cuba.
At first the boys were sad because we are not going to Mexico, but once we explained that it will be pretty much the same but in a different country. They were totally fine with it. Specially cuz there will be all you can eat. Even Lukey now says we're going to Cuba in an airplane. So the sadness wore off LOL
It will a great Xmas. Sand instead of Snow, and Swimming Suits instead of Snow Suits.
We can not wait... the count down is on!!!!!!!!!
We have also told the boys that Santa is helping to get us on the plane so he might not bring anything this year!! They all seem to okay with it. Luke being three doesn't get it but its okay with it.
Okay I'm just rambling now!!

great visit

Had a great time with my parents, it was so very nice to see them. Now they are on their way to BC they found an apartment( basement suite) and they are looking forward to another new city to add to the list of place they have lived in. I think they are gypsies at heart.
One good thing about the resent move is they will be closer to us.
For those of you who don't know my parents, my dad is a pastor and any chance he gets to move to help the church he takes. They are happy that way and it will take a long time for them to stay put in one spot!!
Don't matter tho, we had a great time with them.

My Parents are coming

My mom and dad are coming for a visit, they are currently at my sister's house. I saw mom last year around this time, but I have not seen dad since may '03. Dad hasn't met Lukey yet. He has seen pictures and talked to him on the phone. So I am looking forward to the two of them meeting. The other boys are very excited about seeing their Abuelos( grandparents). But I think they are more excited about seeing my dad.
So they are not only coming for a visit but they are on the move. Yes, they are moving (AGAIN) from Ontario to BC. I am kind of okay with this move because they will be much closer to me, and I might get to see them more than once a year.
So tomorrow I am going to an all day crop( scrapbooking) and they should be here sometime around supper. so it should be a fun day for me!!!

Man oh man! My baby is 3 years old today. Time sure flies. It seems like just yesterday we brought him home from the hospital. He is the last one and it makes every milestone harder to swallow. The last time I get to celebrate a 3rd birthday, the last one to go to pre-school. And don't get me wrong, I am glad there are no more diapers, diaper bags, and anything related to babies. But it is very sad indeed. Tomorrow we're going to chucky-e-cheeses to celebrate. Lukey is so excited he loves it there. My baby is growing, but who am I kidding he will always be my baby, just as his brothers are still my babies too!

New Orleans

I had the chance to go with my Dh to New Orleans. He had a conference there. My dear MIL( whom I love!!!!!!!) took care of the boys. it was a great time. So much history!! It was so nice to be on my own for a while. One of the highlights of my trip was meeting my aboutscrapbooking friend Denyse. The french quarter was an experience Bourbon St was busy, loud, stinky, but you can walk around with booze and bar hop so that made it better LOL ( Denyse said that it wasn't as busy since Katrina). The buildings wow wow, old but nice, we went into this used book store and I though the floor was uneven and it was scary( aat least tome LOL). We walked all over and went to St Peter's Cathedral and Jackson Square. The food the food I love poboys, and Cafe Du Monde I loved the food. We went on a cementery tour, got to eat at Nola's( Emiril Restaurant) We went to the House of Blues, I even got to go to a sugar cane plantation.
